The Seattle chapter of Deep Green Resistance holds regular events and meetings. Most of our meetings are for members only. If you’re interested in joining, please contact us. About the Unist’ot’en Camp The Unist’ot’en Camp is an indigenous resistance community whose purpose is to protect sovereign Wet’suwet’en territory from several proposed pipelines from the Tar Sands Gigaproject and shale gas from Hydraulic Fracturing Projects in the Peace River Region. The camp is led and organized by members of Wet-suwet’en First Nation in so-called “British Columbia”. The camp is located at the shore of the Wedzin Kwah and mouth of the Gosnell Creek. These are all tributary to the the Skeena, Bulkley, and Babine Rivers. The proposed pipelines from Enbridge Northern Gateway and Pacific Trails both seek to cross the rivers at the exact point where the resistance camp is built on the Unis’tot’en Territory of Talbits Kwah. ...

We are the chapter of Deep Green Resistance covering the Seattle area, as well as Renton, Kent, Shoreline, Lynnwood, Federal Way, Tacoma, Everett, Bainbridge, Vashon, Bremerton, the Eastside, Kirkland, Bellevue, Issaquah, and all surrounding regions. There are three ways to get involved with the efforts of the Seattle chapter: Be a Group Member Be an Active Supporter or Ally Group Membership involves active participation in the organizing work of the DGR Seattle chapter. Active Support or Allying involves agreeing to be called upon when the group needs help in any given area. Individuals do not become members of DGR, so they needn’t abide by any policies set by the movement, nor unique expectations of the local group. ...
